Because Lacrosse was a strenuousness activity that burnt alot of my nutrition I had to have a special diet.
The first season I almost drained myself to dangerous levels (low energy, low wait, low fat reserves, low iron, low everything.)
So half way through my mom (Personal trainer) put together a special diet that called for at least 5000 calories per day with 80% of them coming from complex carbohydrates.
You see the little known fact is that people don’t always diet down, some diet up.
I needed extra nutrition, so I have to force myself to eat a shit ton of pasta and bread.
I wanted to tell this story because I am sick of seeing pseudo-stats that paint diets in a bad light.
There is nothing wrong with dieting!!!
A diet is specialized eating plan that serves a specific goal. Whether it is for wait loss, nutrition replacement, or for complete nutritional intake it is still a diet.
So stop diet bashing!
